This 12-hour course teaches adults how to assist an older person who may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis, including suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
The course uses a practical, evidence-based Action Plan and is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.
Suitable for adults who work with, live with or care for a person aged over 65 and is available via face-to-face delivery mode.
The course is only delivered by Accredited Mental Health First Aid Australia Instructors.
