This 14-hour course teaches adults how to assist a young person who may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis, including suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
The course uses a practical, evidence-based Action Plan and is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.
Suitable for school staff, support workers, parents and other adults and is available via face-to face, blended face-to face, and online delivery modes.
The course is only delivered by Accredited Mental Health First Aid Australia Instructors.
