Data in practice: Suicide mortality data – Hospital and Ambulance

Following the success of Suicide Prevention Australia’s data webinar in December 2021, we’re partnering with the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) to deliver a series of data webinars throughout 2022.

Our Data in Practice series will take a deep dive into the Suicide and Self-Harm Monitoring System. This new, national system is the most comprehensive collation of data for deaths by suicide as well as self-harming and suicidal behaviours. It’s designed to improve the quality, accessibility, and timeliness of data on suicide and self-harm and to support policy makers, researchers, and practitioners to drive better outcomes.
