Over the last two years the Centre for Mental Health, The University of Melbourne, has conducted a series of studies regarding ethical issues in suicide research. These included studies involving (Australian and international) researchers, representatives of human research ethics committees, and people with lived experience of suicide.
Most recently, they comprised an expert consensus study regarding ethical issues to consider in designing suicide prevention studies. The webinar will be building on this research and aims to explore how the recommendations from the consensus study can be implemented and used in practice. Results of these studies have been published in peer-reviewed journals, including open access.
