Liptember – Raising funds and awareness for women’s mental health all September

“Liptember” encourages Aussies to rock their favourite coloured lipstick everyday in the month of September, as a colourful way to spark REAL conversations about women's mental health and raise funds while doing so. Starting in 2010, the “Liptember” flagship fundraising campaign has raised more than $15 million to date, helping support women’s mental health research, programs, initiatives, and support services across the country. “There has been a persistent blind spot when it comes to women’s mental health and the lack of research, programs, and support focused on women’s mental health is something we’re committed to improving,” Liptember CEO and Founder, Luke Morris, explains. “We’re encouraging Aussie women to join in Liptember, following recent findings from the inaugural Liptember Foundation Women’s Mental Health Research Study that one in two women are currently experiencing mental illness." It’s easy, simply register to become a fundraiser and proudly rock a bright lippy everyday during September. It goes a long way towards starting those important conversations and raising money for women’s mental health.

CALM and CALM Care Train the Trainer Program

Virtual

Become a CALM Trainer before the end of the year! CALM is becoming the most popular Suicide Intervention Skills program in Australia, and here is why: It’s a one-day program, reducing clients costs and minimising staff absence. It’s Australian researched and based. It’s accredited with the peak body Suicide Prevention Australia. Many participants have attended other similar programs and stated how much they love the model and how it’s so easy to remember. Underpinned by Motivational Interviewing which research is now showing positive results for suicide prevention/intervention. CALM is the only intervention program in Australia that has not just an app for the safety planning, but also for the person completing an intervention. CALM Intentionally focuses on the skills of communication, rather than providing just a theory or model. CALM is the only suicide intervention program delivered either virtually or in-person.
