Liptember – Raising funds and awareness for women’s mental health all September

“Liptember” encourages Aussies to rock their favourite coloured lipstick everyday in the month of September, as a colourful way to spark REAL conversations about women's mental health and raise funds while doing so. Starting in 2010, the “Liptember” flagship fundraising campaign has raised more than $15 million to date, helping support women’s mental health research, programs, initiatives, and support services across the country. “There has been a persistent blind spot when it comes to women’s mental health and the lack of research, programs, and support focused on women’s mental health is something we’re committed to improving,” Liptember CEO and Founder, Luke Morris, explains. “We’re encouraging Aussie women to join in Liptember, following recent findings from the inaugural Liptember Foundation Women’s Mental Health Research Study that one in two women are currently experiencing mental illness." It’s easy, simply register to become a fundraiser and proudly rock a bright lippy everyday during September. It goes a long way towards starting those important conversations and raising money for women’s mental health.

World Suicide Prevention Day in Brisbane’s Queen street Mall

Queen Street Mall, Brisbane CBD

Roses in the Ocean’s Brisbane-based team will have the pleasure of connecting with community on Tuesday 10 September for our annual #WorldSuicidePreventionDay event at Queen Street Mall, Brisbane. Under the theme of Changing the Narrative, we’re thrilled to be collaborating with several organisations who will join us to show support for local community. The day will provide an opportunity for people to share their own stories and to receive the gift of a rose as a reminder they are heard and cared for.
