Calm & Calm Care Train the Trainer

Become a trainer in CALM . Be your own boss! Become an accredited CALM trainer and train others to recognise and respond to suicide. Suicide is a public health issue that affects individuals, families, communities and work environments across Australia. . This Train the Trainer program will set you up to run your own business training others in the important area of suicide prevention. The CALM training programs are being engaged by organisations across Australia. Your passion and expertise will help make a difference to this landscape and provide you with an alternative career choice for your future This Train the Trainer virtual program, will provide you with the skills, resources, knowledge and support to deliver both programs. T4T participants gain an understanding and workable knowledge of the theories, principles and models that underpin CALM and CALM Care programs; are able to grasp and demonstrate their ability to explain and use the CALM model of intervention and lastly gain confidence in their ability to competently deliver both programs to their audiences. Ever wondered how lived experience research takes place, what happens when risk eventuates into an adverse incident, and what lived experience can do in the research world? Join us for a presentation and Q&A from three PhD researchers undertaking different research projects related to lived experience of suicide, and moderated by a special guest. Our three researchers bring amongst them both perspectives of being a researcher with and without lived experience, working on topics directly relevant to people with lived experience of suicide.
