R U OK? National Student Art Competition

R U OK? NATIONAL STUDENT ART COMPETITION   Art has the power to start conversations that count.  That's why R U OK? is calling on year 7 and 8 students across Australia to create an artwork that responds to the question:  What does an R U OK? conversation mean to you?  Students are encouraged to respond to the brief in any way they like, with paintings, drawings, collages, sketches, photographs or digital artworks.  Entries are limited to two per school and close at 5pm AEST on 5 July 2024.  There will be winners from every state and territory and some great prizes on offer   Find out more and get involved: www.ruok.org.au/artcompetition

This event will present findings from focus groups that reveal the unique challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people during the referendum, including added stress, cultural loading, and experiences of racism. Our speakers will also share practical recommendations and resources that were developed to support communities during this time.
