Mocktails and Musings – Planning Session for our Suicide Prevention Network 2024

Mission Australia Centre Coffs Harbour 9 Duke Street, COFFS HARBOUR, NSW, Australia

We invite all members of the Wesley Mission Suicide Prevention Network - Coffs Coast Suicide Prevention Initiative - to attend our informal idea  workshopping gathering where we can lock in some priority actions for 2024. We have garnered a lot of feedback during the past 12+ months and we need feedback on the specific strategic directions to take next year. Just to make sure the ideas are flowing, we are hosting Mocktails for our Musings (the event is strictly alcohol-free). Looking forward to seeing as many participants as possible. Please RSVP via email ASAP.

Community Summer Picnic – say ‘Yello’ to the New Year

Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshores Jordan Esplanade, COFFS HARBOUR, NSW, Australia

The holiday season can be a tricky time for some, especially if people are without social or family supports. So, some of us from the local Wesley Mission Suicide Prevention Network - Coffs Coast Suicide Prevention Initiative - thought it may be nice to have a social event instead of a meeting in January. Come along anytime after 11am on Tuesday 9th January 2024 for a Community Summer Picnic. Everyone is welcome, and the gathering is BYOE (bring your own everything), as we are not supplying food. We thought it would be nice to gather at the Jetty Foreshores, along Jordan Esplanade, Coffs Harbour. The theme is Yellow, so bring out your summer yellowness, your picnic rug, and look out for the yellow decorations near one of the shade shelters. This is not a supervised event so please ensure all dependents are cared for. Look forward to seeing some new faces there.

Realising Reform: Growing the Lived & Living Experience Workforce

Conversation Quarter 328 Swanston Street, [Entrance via La Trobe Street] State Library Victoria, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

March 2024 marks the three-year milestone in transforming the mental health sector following the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System. The Royal Commission highlighted the need for lived and living experience to be central to the design and delivery of a transformed mental health system. This event will be an opportunity to hear from services who are developing their Lived & Living Experience workforce and those working alongside them. What is working well, what challenges and opportunities are arising, and how are these initiatives contributing to a better, more sustainable and more person-centred mental health system. Join us for this networking breakfast event to dive deeper into the community and clinical experiences, contribute to the discussion on forward proposals and listen about the ways we can all work together to process the transformation. Breakfast included.  $95 per person OR a book a table of 8 people for $650
