James is passionate advocate for communities in the prevention of  suicide and mental health outcomes. As a son of a Vietnam Veteran, James developed an early appreciation for the enduring impact war can have on individuals, their families’ and community wellbeing.  Employed as Group Manager for Wesley Mission’s Suicide Prevention Services, James has experience in both the not-for-profit and public sectors. James has post graduate and undergraduate qualifications in Social Work  as well as tertiary qualifications in public administration, leadership and management. Currently serving as the Chair for Suicide Prevention Australia’s NSW/ACT Joint Committee and member of the Suicide Prevention Australia National Policy committee, James is committed to enhancing sector collaboration and participation in order to achieve a world without suicide.
