A fantastic full-time career opportunity exists for a strategically minded Community Director. You will be joining a dynamic, friendly team, to help build community capacity nationwide concerning suicide prevention.
This newly created role will sit on the Executive team and has three direct and one indirect report. This position oversees the R U OK? Community Portfolio which includes our work within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, our work across regional and rural Australia with a particular focus on our Conversation Convoys, working with people from multicultural backgrounds or culturally and linguistically diverse members of the community, and our network of volunteer Community Ambassadors.
The position will suit someone with executive experience, strong strategic and people management skills, and has five years demonstrated success in community management. The role involves seeking, developing, and managing opportunities, initiatives, and campaigns along with impact measurement.
This role will be highly communicative and consultative. Candidates need to have strong oral, written and presentation skills, a passion for public health promotion and a willingness to travel within Australia.
