Catherine lives in rural South Australia on a ‘lifestyle’ property. In 2012, she lost her beloved neighbour as well as her police officer brother to suicide. She lives with a primary immune deficiency (CVID not Covid) and several autoimmune conditions and experiences chronic pain. Catherine is also in a caring role for her daughter who is autistic and undergoing gender transition. This gives Catherine some insights into to stigma and stressors imposed on transgender Australians. Catherine is the proud mother of five adult children; three sons and two daughters. Catherine is an active member of the Mid Murray Suicide Prevention Network, an independent corporation that ultimately sits under the banner of Wellbeing SA.
