Please note that all membership applications are pending the review and approval of Suicide Prevention Australia's Board to ensure applicants are aligned with the requirements of the organisation’s constitution. Any approvals for members and associates are at the total discretion of the Board and their decision is final.
We ask that you provide as much information as possible to assist with review of your application. In that regard some questions are marked as compulsory for completion.
All Suicide Prevention Australia memberships are based on the calendar year and run from month of joining to end December of that year. Renewals are sent annually in October each year. Your membership fee will be calculated from the month of joining ie if you join halfway through the year your pro-rata rate of 50% of the full 12 months and will be calculated at check-out.

Lived experience is integral to everything we do at Suicide Prevention Australia. Working with people who have lived experience of suicide allows us to better represent our members’ views and experiences to government and other external groups.
People with lived experience are uniquely placed to inform how we can support people through a crisis.
Lived experience of suicide includes those who have experienced suicidal thoughts and behaviour, survived a suicide attempt, cared for someone through suicidal crisis or are bereaved by suicide.
