VIDEO: Top Ten finalists' films

Bringing together the official Top Ten films, of the international filmmaker’s competition, Get Reel, for a night of entertaiment at The Ritz Cinema in Randwick. Through the short film competition, filmmakers were asked to produce a film less than 10 minutes, shot entirely on a smart device responding to the theme Being Seen.

From over 1,650 entries, across Australia and New Zealand, over 180 attendees enjoyed the Top Ten films as voted for by our film industry judging panel including Andrew Morley, Danielle Cormack, Jessica Grace Smith, Socratis Otto and more. The Top Ten finalist screening provided a thought provoking night of entertainment with all funds raised going to Suicide Prevention Australia.

"I think its amazing to be giving the cyber bullying message a voice. The competition is about making a difference to people’s attitudes about how we see each other and people in our community. Sometimes we just need to ask ‘how are you?’ to make a difference in someone's life,” says winner of The Official Top Ten Night ‪#‎GetReel‬ competition, Woodville student Georgia on her inspirational short film.

Congratulations to Georgia and all who entered and supported this fantastic competition!
