Northern Beaches Cares is a locally based, registered charity, who is a member of the National Suicide Prevention Network (NSPN). Our members come from the community bringing their passion, commitment and personal lived experiences to the group. We focus on working within the Northern Beaches area, directly supporting our community through time of suicidal bereavement, working to change local situations or practice that operates and to prepare the community to respond pro-actively to consequences, risks and indications of suicide.
We believe input from community peer care workers, and from people with Lived Experience are an essential part of improving the outcomes for suicide prevention on the beaches. Anyone over 18 can become an Individual Member and organisations with local interests can also join as a Group Member.
