Open Up is a peer-to-peer support program for people aged 18 to 29, which offers free, anonymous, and supportive group spaces for young people impacted by mental ill-health, social isolation and suicide.
Held online and at three locations across Sydney, sessions are facilitated by two trained Peer Support Workers, also aged between 18 and 29, who have lived experience of mental ill-health.
Through sharing experiences and supporting each other in a non-judgemental, non-clinical space, the groups facilitate interpersonal connection, belonging, and promote help-seeking behaviour by offering opportunities to find professional support post-session.
