Our Peer Support Training offers three audience-tailored workshops for communities, workplaces, and parents – giving people the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support the mental health of their peers, colleagues and families.
Delivered face-to-face or online, these workshops teach practical interpersonal and relational skills, and offer best practice advice for supporting people on a peer level. Examples include learning how to ‘hold space’ for someone while creating a safe space; role modelling and safely navigating vulnerability; increasing psychological safety and implementing protective factors; facilitating help-seeking; and taking care of ourselves while doing so.
As a youth-led charity implementing peer-based models of preventative mental health care, One Eighty’s evidence-based Peer Support Training is informed by young people working directly with young people.
