Young and middle-aged men have a greater risk of completing suicide and most of these men spend the majority of their daily lives at work. It’s imperative that every organisation have First Aid officers that are trained in Suicide Prevention.
In order to encourage organisations to take up suicide prevention training for their first aid officers, programs need to be accessible, convenient, and not too onerous on staff. WEHL’s online suicide prevention program trains first aid officers (and other staff members) on suicide prevention and gives them an opportunity to put their knowledge into practice at a 2-hour online workshop with resources and follow-up included.
