Program Manager, Quality & Innovation
Jess commenced in the role of Program Manager, Quality & Innovation in July 2019. Jess completed a Bachelor of Health in July 2014 and a Masters of Public Health in July 2015. Jessica’s undergraduate studies focus on population health; exploring the social, political, cultural, economic and environmental determinants of health. Her postgraduate studies focused on a more in-depth understanding of the burden of disease, health promotion and epidemiology.
Jess began her career in the youth health sector in early 2015, starting out in a role at Yfoundations, the NSW Peak Body for Youth Homelessness. From there, she developed a keen interest in youth health, working in both a research capacity at the University of Sydney and as Youth Health Project Officer at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, NSW Health. This experience led to the position of Homelessness Health Program Manager at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, working to support the efficient and effective implementation of homelessness health policies, plans, services and projects in the district before leaving to have her daughter in early 2018. Jess returned to part-time work in research in late 2018 at the Centre of Primary Healthcare and Equity, UNSW and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Australian Association of Adolescent Health.
