Kirsten joined the Suicide Prevention Australia team in April 2019. She has strong experience in policy, advocacy and government relations working within various levels of government as well as in another not-for-profit industry body. Most recently, Kirsten was Policy Adviser to the NSW Government Minister for Racing, Lands and Forestry. She holds a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Laws.
As Policy Officer, Kirsten works to support the work of the Policy, Advocacy and Government Relations team, advocating for SPA and its Members to a variety of stakeholders including Ministers and Parliamentarians and government departments. She is excited to use her knowledge of the political landscape and advocacy skills whilst learning from those with lived experience to create greater outcomes for suicide prevention across Australia.
