Our Events

Among the many benefits that Suicide Prevention Australia members enjoy is the opportunity to attend the numerous Suicide Prevention Australia events we conduct throughout the year.

Suicide Prevention Australia aims to provide members with information and networking opportunities on a regular basis whether through our annual headline event, the National Suicide Prevention Conference, which is open to everyone, or through our member-only events, such as Federal Budget webinars or grassroots events like States in Focus Week.

HEADLINE EVENT: NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION CONFERENCE 2022

Over the past decade, the National Suicide Prevention Conference has established itself as the premier event in the suicide prevention calendar. The National Conference presents a unique opportunity to bring the brightest minds together and latest thinking to promote excellence in suicide prevention.

The National Suicide Prevention Conference 2022 will see us return to a face-to-face conference following the online Suicide Prevention Australia 2021 Symposium. This event provides a gateway to unite suicide prevention experts to showcase evidence-based solutions and robust discussion, focused on solutions for saving lives.

Held on Monday 25 to Thursday 28 July 2022 at the National Convention Centre Canberra, the event will enable delegates to hear from international keynote speakers, participate in workshops and collaborate with their peers.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE OUTCOMES

  • Increase sector commitment to participate in a collaborative approach to suicide prevention
  • Enhance community participation in suicide prevention activities
  • Expand the translation of research in suicide prevention
  • Facilitate the continuation and development of quality, evidence-based suicide prevention initiatives
