This 3.5 hour course teaches adolescents how to assist a peer who may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis including suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
The course uses a practical, evidence-based Action Plan and is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.
Suitable for adolescents in Years 7-9 and 10-12 to provide peer-to-peer support and is available via a face-to face delivery mode.
The course is only delivered by Accredited Mental Health First Aid Australia Instructors.
