Depression in older people is a risk factor associated with suicide and it is critical that Aged Care Nurses are equipped to recognise the signs that a resident of an aged care facility may be contemplating suicide. Designed to meet Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia CPD requirements. The learning outcomes are: identifying possible risk factors for suicidality in older people; developing the necessary skills to conduct a suicide intervention.
