Laps for Life

This March, challenge yourself and swim to save lives. Whether you're new to the water or a competitive swimmer, you can get involved in Laps for Life in any way that suits you. You can swim laps at your local pool, hit the beach or take part in an ocean swim! Set a goal that suits you, and use our handy lap calculator to decide how many sessions you'll need. You don’t need to swim every day, just pick the days and times that suit your lifestyle. Whether it’s freestyle, backstroke, butterfly or doggy-paddle, just get swimming. Laps for Life takes place from 1–31 March, and you can swim at any time throughout the month. Funds raised via Laps for Life support the work of youth mental health service ReachOut.

Lived experience of suicide advocate brunch + networking: Canberra

Playing Fields Cafe 33 Allara Street #2 Canberra, ACT 2601 33 Allara Street, Canberra, Australia

Do you do your lived experience of suicide work online or with geographically spread teams? Do you know anyone in Canberra who is doing work like you? The nature of the way we work these days, can mean you rarely get the opportunity to meet with people face to face to chat about all things lived experience, or build a local network of people to understand the work you do. If you have a lived experience of suicide or mental health difficulties, and use your lived experience purposefully in any sector, you are invited to come to an informal public meet up to make some local connections with others doing similar work. Purchase your own food, coffee or other drinks and just have a chat. This is a very informal meet up. Please RSVP if you plan on attending so that space may be booked at the café. If you have any accessibility needs, please reach out to: contact@criticle.com.au
