Gary Groves is the Chief Executive Officer of ReachOut Australia, the country’s longest-running digital mental health service for young people, and a recognised leader in digital and AI-enabled mental health in Australia. His career spans NSW Police, senior executive roles in the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, and CEO of JewishCare NSW, with a focus on child protection, early intervention and the safe use of AI in mental health. He sits on the boards of SMART Recovery Australia and the Mental Health Coordinating Council NSW as a director, and is a 2025 Harvard Business School Ferris Family Non-profit Fellow.
Gary is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG), and holds tertiary qualifications in human services. He brings a criminology and public sector reform background to not-for-profit leadership, and a strong commitment to advancing mental health outcomes for young people across Australia.
