Psychological First aid is about noticing when someone else might not be OK and offering your support. Developed by Communicorp psychologists, this program equips participants with the knowledge and skills to provide an immediate humane and supportive response to someone who is suffering and who may need support, termed “psychological first aid”, during and/or following a critical incident (at work or in the community). Anyone can provide Psychological First Aid, to support another person and help restore a sense of safety and order, so this course is suitable for anyone. This program also includes important information on how to identify if someone may require professional support in the days or weeks following an incident and how they can access further support.
