Health & Ageing in Difference 2026
Join researchers, practitioners, policymakers and community leaders in Canberra this June to explore the ideas, evidence and partnerships shaping the future of LGBTIQ+ health and ageing. Group registrations are available. Receive a 10% discount when three or more delegates from the same organisation register together. We are excited to welcome Zoe Terakes and Mitch Brown to the 2026 Health & Ageing in Difference conference program. Zoe is one of Australia’s most exciting writers, actors and commentators, and a powerful advocate for trans rights and visibility. Their work spans award-winning screen, stage and literary projects, bringing a bold and compelling voice to conversations shaping our communities. Former AFL player, advocate and social impact leader, Mitch has become an important voice in national conversations about inclusion, visibility, masculinity and wellbeing. In 2025, he made history as the first AFL player, past or present, to publicly come out as bisexual, helping spark critical conversations about identity and culture in Australian sport. Join us in Canberra for powerful conversations, sector leadership, and connection across LGBTIQ+ health and ageing.
