We exist to provide a clear, collective voice for suicide prevention, so that together we can save lives. Our members are central to everything we do. At Suicide Prevention Australia we believe that through collaboration and shared purpose, we can work towards our ambition of a world without suicide.

We welcome member applications if your organisation:

Has a demonstrated commitment to suicide and self-harm prevention, intervention and/or postvention
Agrees that your organisation will carry out its obligations as an organisation member honestly, fairly and with business integrity
Agrees to be bound by, and compliant with, the Suicide Prevention Australia Constitution and provide a commitment to the Guiding Principles

Members are also encouraged to sign up to the Mindframe National Communications Charter.

Please note that all membership applications are pending the review and approval of Suicide Prevention Australia's Application Review Committee to ensure applicants are aligned with the requirements of the organisation's constitution. Any approvals for members are at the total discretion of this committee, and their decision is final.

We ask that you provide as much information as possible to assist with review of your application. In that regard some questions are marked as compulsory for completion.

All employees of member organisations receive access to member benefits.

Suicide Prevention Australia is guided by lived experience and advocates for a whole-of-government approach to reducing suicide.

The Organisational Member fee structure is based on the category the organisation belongs to and the organisation's annual revenue. The three categories are:

National: organisations with a federated structure or similar, operating in multiple states/territories.
State: organisations operating in one state/territory.
Community: organisations established to operate with a focus on a specific geographic area or where suicide prevention is part of a broader remit.

All Suicide Prevention Australia memberships are based on the calendar year and run from month of joining to end December of that year. Renewals are sent annually in October each year. Your membership fee will be calculated from the month of joining and will be calculated at check-out.
