Developed by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people this informative and strengths-based course will teach you how to assist Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander young people who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional support is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan.
This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander mental health professionals, many of whom also have lived experience of mental health problems.
The course is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous adults, and is only delivered by Accredited Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander AMHFA Instructors.
