Lifeline Direct’s Eclipse gives people the chance to meet and talk to others who have survived a suicide attempt and offers an opportunity to learn skills that may help participants to cope with feelings and thoughts of suicide. The closed, eight-week group focuses on creating bonds between participants and facilitators that allow members to feel safe in sharing their thoughts and emotions related to their suicide attempt. Once a safe group environment is achieved, the focus of the group expands to include an emphasis on tools and skills that will help members to stay safe from a future suicide attempt.
