The Stay ChatTY Schools Program is a mental health literacy program for Tasmanian students Grades 9–12. The program, called GritFit, raises mental health awareness and builds student confidence to seek help for themselves and their peers. It uses a positive psychology lens to bust myths about mental health, tackle stigma, promote strategies for building resilience and grit, and fostering a kindness culture at school and beyond. It also weaves in lived experience storytelling. Parent and teacher sessions complement the student sessions to support a whole-school approach to mental health literacy.
